About 2nd Battalion Royal Berkshire!
Introduction:
The 2nd Battalion The Royal Berkshire Regiment website has been the result
of my efforts in tracing my father’s footsteps through the years
from his enlistment into the Territorial Army 5th (Hackney) Battalion The
Royal Berkshire Regiment, then onto B Company, 2nd Battalion The Royal
Berkshire Regiment, entering the Burma
theatre of war to become a proud member and part of what was later to be
known
as the “The Forgotten Army”.
I was surprised to say the least about how little information there was regarding the 2nd Royal Berks. So I set to the task of developing a family, friendly and non-profit website (that means, no annoying pop-ups, advertisements or misguided links), dedicated in tracing the 2nd Battalion The Royal Berkshire Regiment in an effort to document their history and along the way give/receive help from fellow researchers and families's contributing in anyway no matter how small the snippet of information may be, while tracing there family ancestors and make them "The Forgotten Army" no more. The information within this website will not be error free, but that is all part of the learning curve and the huge task ahead of us.

Also the information can contain very descriptive language (derogatory remarks) and I would not be portraying the events as they occurred if I were to omit them.
No insult is intended to any persons, religion or race. But in the interests of history the story must remain true to these men we honour.
