Royal Army Medical
Corps:
Officers are responsible for the immediate treatment of sick and wounded also
their collection/transportation from the area of battle. discipline while at
medical units or sick quarters. Also the records regarding the patients and others
of both professional and general interest. Last but not least replenishment of
medical equipment.
A.T.S.
Anti-tetanic
serum:
Anti-tetanice serum injections should only be given on arrival at the M.D.S.
or W.W.C.P. but delay of a few hours means that the injection should be given
right away and entered on form A.F. W 3118 for the patients arrival.

Anti-tetanic serum:
Dosage, 1,000 units. (Found on Army forms).

Main Dressing
Station:
All cases arriving at M.D.S are prioritised by the M.O. All urgent cases requiring
urgent treatment and what medical treatment in the field has been carried out
before arrival should be inspected and made good. All wounded men will be administered
an injection of anti-tetanice serum unless stated on his card. all patients details
must be entered in the A. & D. book (A.B. 27) also field medical Card (A.F.
W 3118 & A.F. W.3118A).

Station's:

Dosage, gr. ¼, given 1800 hours (6.00pm). (Found on Army forms).
RANKS.
Substantive Rank - Is a fully paid and confirmed commissioned
to a permanent rank.
War substantive Rank - The bearer may revert to his/her previously held rank at the end of the war.
Acting Rank - The holder assumes the pay plus allowances appropriate to
his/her possition of the acting rank,
but a higher commanding officer may revert him to his/her previously held
rank.
Brevet Rank - Is a temporary rank, often honorary, it is held without the pay and allowances appropriate to his/her rank.
Local or Temporary Rank - An unpaid rank, usually granted for a specific task, operation or mission in a specific location or period.
