Cyril Victor Hutt enlisted into the army at Reading in Berkshire on 12 May 1939 age 17. Serving with the Berkshire Regiment for 7 years until he was discharged on the 24 August 1946.

Additional Information:
Enlisted on the 26 July 1940. Served in India and Burma between 1941 and 1945. William Goodwin was with the Royal Berkshire Regiment until his release from service on the 8th January 1946.
Sadly William Goodwin died in a road traffic accident in 1948.

Additional Information:
Pte. Frederick (Fred) Hinton inlisted 15 July 1939, serving with 1st Battalion 2nd Div. Royal Berkshire Regiment. Posted to France in 1939, wounded early 1940. After recovery in the UK he was reassigned to the 4th Battalion and Posted to India in late 1942, Pte. Hinton saw action, in Arakan 1943 - Kohima – Assam in 1944 and finally on into Burma late 1944 where he finished his war.

Frank Wilcox served with the Royal Berkshire Regiment. Seldom speaking of his wartime exploits, other than to mention having been caught in a caught in an ambush, and the Pindari glacier Glacier?? in India. Sadly Frank Wilcox passed away in 1989.
